Project Highlights

Discover the remarkable journey of Laguna House, a duplex initially overlooked due to its unusable kitchen, overgrown backyard, and dilapidated state. Purchased for $650,000 in the midst of COVID, we embarked on a visionary 3-stage renovation and development project that transformed it into a record-breaking Palm Beach townhouse.

The property was incredibly dated and had been uncared for, for many years. However, it included a small brick garage that had already been converted into a spare bedroom and bathroom, which we saw as not the best use of space on the prime positioned block. Our immediate view was to demolish and extend the existing dwelling on two levels to the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries, maximising the use of the land parcel, 300m from the beach.

Complete Redesign

We reimagined the entire internal space, removing every internal wall and starting from scratch. We worked closely with our structural engineer to maintain structural integrity whilst creating a stunning open plan, timeless townhouse.

We also worked with local council planning departments to push the building code limits to maximize the 300m² block size.

Laguna House turned heads and surprised the market, ultimately selling for a suburb record for a duplex at $2.22 million on auction day. At the time of sale, this new record outperformed other duplex sales in the area by over $300,000!
